No. However, because the state of Florida requires that FR44 policies be non-cancellable, most insurance companies don’t offer the option of a monthly payment plan. You’ll be expected to pay in full at the time of purchase.

Legislative Update: Effective October 1, 2023, Removes the requirement that the FR-44 Certificates of liability insurance are non-cancellable. Payment plans are available now that companies can cancel policies for non payment of monthly premium.

Again, in most cases the answer is no. However, there’s nothing wrong with checking as payment requirements for policies can change. At Florida Auto Plus Insurance we can search for a policy that does offer a payment plan for Florida FR-44 renewals.
The premium will be less because your prior Bodily Injury of 100/300 will go down. However the exact amount won’t be determined until after the insurance company makes the change in your policy.
The state of Florida requires disclosure of all household members on the application when there is a filing.

You can check the status of your license with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). If your license is currently suspended due to a DUI conviction you will see an FR (financial responsibility)suspension with a 9 digit number that begins with a 4. This is your FR44 case number.

As soon as the state electronically receives the FR-44 filing from your company and you reinstate your license, your license status will show as “valid” and you will no longer see your case number. Always contact the FLHSMV first to ask when you can remove the filing.

Florida FR-44 insurance no car

No. One of the state’s requirements when purchasing a Florida non-owners insurance policy is that you do not have access to a vehicle.
No, however, if you don’t have a vehicle to insure, you can still comply with the state’s requirements by purchasing a non-owners policy with an FR-44 filing. Keep in mind, you qualify for this type of policy only if you have no vehicles registered in your name, do not operate any vehicle regularly, and live in a house hold with no vehicles.
It depends on the insurance company. Florida Auto Plus Insurance works with several insurance companies that currently offer these policies.
